Tara knocked on Helen's door, not even knowing what to expect. She looks like a mess. There's a duffle bag hanging on one of her shoulders, and even though she's schooled herself to the point that she's not crying, and her voice is remarkably even... things obviously still aren't okay.

It's only 10:30 - Tara's hoping she's not asleep, and that's why she does knock, and why she forces herself to stand still, to just wait to see if she's home.

Saffron's worried, wondering what could be the matter, but she doesn't pry. "Of course," she says with a quick nod. "Just give me five minutes to throw some clothes on, and I'll be right over."

"Okay. Okay, I'll be there - the door'll be open." She nods - both to herself, and to Helen, and then pauses. 'Thank you."

She goes back to the apartment, and the note for Jax is on the table, folded up, and she's pacing until Helen actually shows up. "Great. Great, he should only be another fifteen minutes, I think?" She's not explaining, and she's really hoping Helen doesn't even ask.

It doesn't take her long to yank on a pair of shorts, a t-shirt and some sandals, her hair pulled back into a messy ponytail. Saffron grabs the book she'd been reading when Tara knocked, and several minutes later is arriving at their apartment.

Setting her book down, she takes both of Tara's hands in hers and gives them a gentle squeeze. "Go. I'll stay here as long as you need."

"Thank you. ... Thank you, so much." Tara forces a smile, squeezing Helen's hands before she's gone - before the smile's gone, before she's gone. There's nothing else there, just the reality that everything's falling down and has, for her, finally collapsed.
