"A backyard and a giant dining room and guest rooms and a garage," she says with a nod, smiling at him. She'd been sort of shy to bring it up, but now that they were talking about it - she wanted this. She wanted to build castles in the sky, as stupid as it sounded.

"I think we need it, too. Makes it so we're grounded." Tara leans forward and touches his cheek, her eyes searching his as he smiles as her. He looks like shit - he's got bruising on him, on his face, his entire side is purple and swollen - she knows it, but he is the best man she's ever seen. "Thank you." She breathed the words, and she exhaled, the tension sort of sliding out of her shoulders in that moment.

Maybe she could tell him. Not now, but it was the first time she'd ever even thought about that possibility.
